A FUN FAMILY DAY!

1. Hello Fr. Scurti.

   You and I have one small thing in common. I went to St. Michael High
   School in Jersey City from 1960 to 1964. In my history class I had Sr.
   Dolorosa (Sr. Mary Dolorosa). On numerous occasions at the beginning of
   class she would have us pray for Louis Scurti who was going to be a
   priest. We assumed he was a St. Mike’s graduate. Anyway, I guess the
   prayers worked. I will always remember her calls for prayers for you.

   Over the years I’ve seen some of the things you worked on including your
   TV show. Now you’re a marriage counselor.

   This morning 9/12/2018 to my surprise I saw you sitting in the first row
   on Live with Kelly and Ryan. You were with a lady named Joy. That was
   cool.

   After St. Mike’s I went to NCE (now NJIT), had a career, and I am now
   retired.. I am a parishioner of St. Clement Pope and Martyr Church in
   Rockaway Township where I am a Eucharistic Minister, usher and Bingo
   Worker (which I call penance…lol).

   Anyway, just wanted to say hello and tell you that at least one person
   saw you on TV today.

   Wow….what a great surprise…I SO BELIVE IN THE POWER OF PRAYER!! I remember Sr Dolorosa very well..she had me paint scenes of history on her blackboard!! (it keot me out of trouble…i was a handful!!)

   Great hearing from you, actually “Joy” is my deceased cousin who was a good friend of Kelly Ripa who grew up in West Berlin NJ. The people next to me was a friend,Jerry & my cousins Carmela (90) and Linda, her daughter….we are a TIGHT family!

   So when the opportunity came up ….i said yes Ill go! (but she insisted i wear my collar)…obviously it caught Kelly & Ryan’s attention!
