Dear Father Lou,
very busy week. But better today than not at all.
You spoke of the Babyloninan Exile – which reminds me of today’s refugee crisis.
And God’s time is not our time – so we have to be ready.
My favorite phrase form your homily is that “God looks like people”
And, I am writing good songs and I am in general good health – so I consider that Jesus is watching over me. And I always thank him for my chance to write music to the glory of God [As Stravinsky said of his Symphony of Psalms which I once sang.]
Peace, Sue
Hi, Father Lou
This is your St Vincent De Paul Elmont friend.
I enjoyed your homily on the Immaculate Conception. I sent it on to a friend who is very devoted to the Blessed Mother and whose parish is the Immaculate Conception Monastery in Jamaica, Queens (my home town and the home town of our great President, for whose victory I hope you are praying!)
Good to know you are a true paesan who still calls it “gravy”!
Keep in touch.
If you are in the Elmont area, let me know and I’ll buy you breakfast or lunch.
Enjoy Advent.
Janis
