THE TRADITION OF THE NATIVITY DISPLAY BEGAN WITH ST. FRANCIS OF ASSISI IN GRECCIO. THE CONCEPT OF JESUS BEING BORN INTO A VILLAGE FILLED WITH PEOPLE OF EVERY OCCUPATION CONTINUED IN NAPLES WITH THE PRESEPIO…IT CONTINUES IN HOMES AND CHURCHES EVERYWHERE TO HONOR THE BIRTH OF THE MESSIAH IN THE FLESH IN BETHLEHEM.
